Pravnik specializiran za korporacijsko pravo in korporativno upravljanje in od leta 2009 direktor družbe RMG, pravno svetovanje in korporativno upravljanje, d.o.o. Njegovo področje dela vključuje odnose med delničarji ali družbeniki, lastniške in kapitalske spremembe, statusna preoblikovanja in preoblikovanj skupin družb. Pomemben del svojih aktivnosti namenja podpori delu nadzornih svetov kot so vrednotenje in menjave uprav, sistem plačil ter zunanjo podporo pri izvedbi samoocenjevanja nadzornih svetov.

Je predsednik NS SŽ-ŽGP, d.d., do novembra 2012 je bil predsednik nadzornega sveta Hit d.d., do februarja 2016 pa predsednik NS NLB, d.d. Je predsednik Strokovnega sveta ZNS in član Upravnega odbora ZNS ter član Komisije za oblikovanje politik (Policy Committe) ecoDa - European Confederation of Directors' Association v Bruslju. Je imetnik Certifikata ZNS, potrdila o usposobljenosti za opravljanje funkcije člana NS in UO.

Sodeloval je pri pripravi zakonodaje s področja upravljanja družb v državni lasti in mnogih avtonomnih virov korporativnega upravljanja ter raziskav. Je tudi eden od avtorjev Priročnika za vrednotenje učinkovitosti nadzornih svetov. Poleg svetovalnega dela je aktiven tudi kot predavatelj. Tematiko s področja korporativnega prava in korporativnega upravljanja predava na usposabljanjih in konferencah Združenja nadzornikov Slovenije, OECD, International Finance Corporation Svetovne banke, ecoDa, ICSA, Inštituta za civilno in gospodarsko pravo, ter Ljubljanske Borze.


Gorazd Podbevšek is a lawyer by occupation and works as a general manager at RMG, d.o.o., a firm specialised in corporate law and corporate governance consulting. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SŽ-ŽGP, d.d. (a construction company) and he was a Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NLB, d.d. (a bank) till February 2016. He is also the Policy Committee Chair of the Slovenian Directors' Association and member of SDA Board and Policy Committee member of the European Confederation of Directors’ Associations (ecoDa).

He is one of the authors of the Slovenian Corporate Governance Code for Listed Companies, Guidelines for Corporate Governance of Unlisted Companies, Corporate Governance Code for State Owned Enterprises, Slovenian Board Evaluation Manual and some other best practice guidelines. In addition to working as a consultant for the biggest Slovenian companies, he has worked as an outside legal expert for the state of Slovenia in drafting the laws on governance of state owned enterprises.

He is an experienced lecturer in Slovenian, English and Serbian and has spoken at events organised by the Slovenian Directors' Association, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Ljubljana Stock Exchange, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), ecoDa and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
